Tree services
Tree surgery, from careful pruning to full removal
BK Tree & Stump Removal carries out a range of tree work across Manchester and Greater Manchester. This page explains each service and helps you choose the right starting point.
Choosing the right service
Many people start with a problem rather than a service name. Use the list below to find the page that fits your situation. If your case falls between two services, start with the one closest to your main concern. We will point you to the other during the enquiry.
- A branch overhangs a roof, path or driveway, or a tree has grown too dense. Tree pruning manages growth and clearance.
- A tree is dead, damaged or leaning, and you want it taken down. Tree removal covers sectional dismantling after assessment.
- A tree stands in open ground and can be brought down in one controlled fall. Tree felling explains when this approach suits a site.
- A stump remains after a tree has been cut down. Stump removal covers the method we offer, access and aftercare.
- You are unsure what a tree needs, or whether it is safe to keep. Tree surveys record a tree's condition in writing before decisions are made.
- You manage a site with several trees, scheduled access or agreed works. Commercial tree work covers scopes, access and timing.
- A tree is protected, sits near water, or has wildlife or heritage value. Conservation tree work focuses on retention and sensitive sites.

How most jobs begin
Most jobs start with an enquiry describing the tree or site, the outcome you want and any deadline. From there, we arrange a site visit where it is needed, then send a written proposal that explains the method, the site finish and what is included.
Some jobs combine services. A tree removed by sectional dismantling may also need its stump dealt with, and a survey may lead to pruning or removal. The proposal will say which services it covers.
Questions about tree surgery
Do I need to know which service I want before I get in touch?
No. Describe what you can see and what you want to achieve, such as more light, a safer tree or a cleared site. We will suggest the most suitable service and say if a survey is needed first.
Can I combine tree work with stump removal?
Yes, where the stump is part of the job. Tell us about both when you enquire so the proposal covers the tree, the stump and the finish of the ground.
Where do you work?
We work across Manchester and Greater Manchester. You can check our area coverage or send us your postcode through the contact form.
Tell us what the tree needs
Send a few details about the tree or site, and we will reply to arrange the next step.
